Job Description:
The Preschool Administrator works closely with the Executive Director to implement aspects of enrollment, program monitoring, reporting, data collection and communication.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Administrator will follow all policies and procedures set forth in the TEAM Employee Handbook. The responsibilities of the Program Administrator will include but not be limited to the following:
Oversee all aspects of enrollment and eligibility for V.I.P.S. students and families including completion of the family data file and all required contractor and agency enrollment forms
Input attendance, track monthly student attendance, and submit monthly attendance reporting
Manage monthly reporting requirements
Complete and submit reports on time and as required
Assist Director with Preschool calendar
Assist Director with coordination of staff in-service
Assist as needed in classrooms
Attend all assigned staff meetings and trainings
Recruitment, assure timely follow up on program inquiries
Evaluate and supervise preschool staff
Maintain knowledge of current research and evidence-based practices in delivering comprehensive services to early childhood learners
Engage in problem solving with building level teams to remove barriers to inclusive practices
Plan professional development opportunities aligned to the inclusive policies and special education
Monitors program operations and addresses problems, issues or concerns
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain a calm and patient demeanor with all students
Thorough understanding of various special education needs and services
Thorough understanding of and the ability to implement a variety of effective teaching methods
Thorough understanding of policies, laws, and guidelines related to special education including IDEA, IEPs, and Ministry of Education Curriculum
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Maintain facility records
Training, webinars, contractor meetings as required
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must have at least five (5) years experience in similar position
Certification or qualification in Early Childhood Education/ Special Education
Must exhibit emotional and professional maturity and stability. Ability to work in a dynamic professional environment on a diverse team of administrative and teaching staff
Must exercise good judgment to handle crisis situations as they may arise
Ability to interact and communicate with families
CPR and First Aid training
Competent in using computers for data tracking, communication, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Energetic, kind, patient and caring personality
Must possess a recent Police Certificate of Character (or able to provide one upon request)
